3-2-1-LIFTOFF!

3-2-1-LIFTOFF!

Your new online educational resource goes live TODAY!

  1. For the nonprofit that’s wanting to position their Early Career grant pro for success, you now have a resource to build their knowledge + know-how.
  2. For consultants and foundations, you now have a place to refer your callers/applicants when you sense they are not Grant Ready or need to strengthen their proposal writing skills.
  3. For consulting groups, your new subcontractors at the nascence of a budding career in proposal writing now have a place to gain real confidence and abilities.

In my Unlock-Grant self-paced online grants course, the learner is my highest priority as I take the novice grant pro step by step through the grants process to:

  •  peel back the mysteries of what’s behind application questions;
  •  give a tried-and-true recipe for constructing a strong grant proposal; and,
  •  take the stress out of finding, cultivating, and stewarding funders.

Best practices, the GPA Code of Ethics, and GPC Competencies are adhered to throughout.

With nearly 15 years in the grants profession, it was clear to me that there are a lot of misconceptions and misunderstandings around grants within nonprofits. After months of research and asking questions at all levels of the grants industry, I concluded that filling that space with knowledge alone was not all there was to it. There needed to be a way to allow for the translation of that knowledge from the brain to the fingertips – to turn Knowledge into Know-How.

So my Unlock-Grants course not only talks to you and spouts the knowledge I have to share, but asks you to assess your skills at every step, to reinforce and cement what is learned along the way. I felt this was a required piece for the learning to soak in and become second nature for the learner. At key points in the course, I ask for homework assignments, to further fortify the knowledge gained and put it into practice.

But lectures, quizzes, and writing assignments alone do not guarantee that all learners will have all their questions answered. That is why I took the unprecedented step to bolster all the content and broaden the lessons learned by offering each learner ONE YEAR of live group calls that I will host weekly. Questions, comments, and homework can be submitted, and I will address topics that are brought up each week. A Topic Library will be developed that any course registrant can access for a year from their sign-up date.

I also offer an assessment to gauge if a nonprofit is Grant Ready, or if a learner is course-ready. Depending on their score, the non-Grant Ready nonprofits are offered a FREE video that proposes alternatives to get money in the door while they grow their readiness for grants. Those with a higher score receive a FREE video that helps close any gaps in understanding, and clarify their readiness to take the course.
